When Life Gives You Lemons…

Anyone else out there know what it feels like to be dealt a bad-hand? To watch the scales tip in the wrong direction? To witness treasure you thought was yours suddenly slip into someone else’s basket? You’ve worked really hard for something that was gonna be suh-weeeet but were handed bitter-lemons instead?

Hey…. Guess what!?

LUCKY YOU!!!! And Lucky me!!!

This is Tica here… aka BigSis. One of my most exciting contributions to The Sisterhood includes teaching and encouragement for those of you in rough, tough and less-than places. I’m here to help you see the MORE that surrounds you when it feels like there’s not enough.

My own story in brief includes experiences of super-abundance and plummets to negative depths… All the while perpetually pregnant-nursing-mothering, often moving homes, and eventually moving countries. We are not out of the woods yet, but we’ve learned to make the most of the wilderness we’ve found ourselves in… think Robin Hood or Swiss Family Robinson. 😁 Want to hear more? Stick around! In the mean time my first piece of advice…

At first taste the bitterness of lemons naturally makes a person want to pucker. Go ahead and pucker if you must, but only for a moment. Then STOP. Readjust your perspective and EXPECT something Great… IT WILL PRESENT ITSELF, if not immediately, shortly. The key word is EXPECT. And don’t set your sights short… The more difficult your situation the more Goodness you should expect. There’s a whole lot more than lemonade to make out of lemons.

In the meantime check out these great uses for the bedazzling bitterness of the beautiful lemon…
